No one plans to get sick, but when an unexpected life-threatening illness happens, you can help yourself and your family by being financially prepared. This allows you to focus on one thing – getting better.
Cash When You Need it Most!
Critical illness insurance is designed to help financially support patients during and after illness by providing a lump-sum benefit (after a survival period) when a critical illness is diagnosed. The survival period, also known as a waiting period varies by illness but most pay after 30days.
What is Covered?
The type of illnesses covered differs from company to company. Simple plans cover as little as three illnesses (cancer, heart attack and stroke) and other more comprehensive plans cover as many as 25 illnesses. Some of the more common illnesses covered include:
- heart attack
- coronary artery bypass
- multiple sclerosis
- organ transplants
- kidney failure
